Any fantasy fan waited SOOOO LONG for Book 6 (IYKYK) from a certain series- but we’ve been blessed by the cauldron because Book 7 is right on its heels in January. So we needed a weekend to celebrate- because who knows when we’ll get our next installment!

Our next reading retreat weekend:  A RETREAT OF READING AND REVELRY is a fantasy-inspired escape designed for those who feel most at home wandering enchanted forests, lingering in candlelit libraries, and losing themselves in stories filled with powerful courts, fierce heroines, impossible bargains, and unforgettable found families.

This special weekend celebrates the release of a highly anticipated fantasy novel while inviting you to fully immerse yourself in the magic of reading.

Expect cozy reading hours, themed gatherings, whimsical food and drink, and playful nods to beloved fantasy tropes that fans will recognize instantly.

Throughout the retreat you’ll discover quiet places to devour your newest read, lively discussions with fellow fantasy lovers, and immersive moments that feel pulled straight from the pages of your favorite book.

What to Expect:

Starfall Celebration Night
An evening of starlight, music, laughter, and magic. Celebrate beneath twinkling lights with themed drinks and delicious bites.

Silent Reading Parties
Cozy up with your new book alongside fellow readers in candlelit comfort. Think blankets, warm drinks, and that magical quiet where everyone is lost in their own story.

Courts & Characters Conversations
Gather with fellow fantasy readers to talk theories, favorite characters, and the moments that absolutely wrecked us (you know the ones).

Fantasy-Inspired Food & Drink
Meals and beverages will be crafted to feel like they belong in a fae court banquet—sparkling drinks, decadent treats, and menus worthy of starlight celebrations and magical feasts.

Immersive Activities & Surprises
From themed games to creative workshops and magical little details hidden throughout the weekend, you’ll find plenty of moments designed just for fantasy readers.

Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts (45 minutes from Boston, MA)

If Air Travel is required, the closest airport is Boston Logan Airport - BOS

Accommodations:

  • Bedrooms will feature single queen, double or twin beds and the shared rooms have two twin beds. Option to add a ticket to a Queen room is listed as a booking option above.

  • Four Full Bathrooms and Two Half Baths throughout the Villa

  • Each room features a cozy elements, perfect for diving into a book.

Activities and Special Features:

  • Unlimited reading time in a peaceful, distraction-free environment.

  • Enjoy reading in your room, spread out amongst the property, or on the beautiful grounds.

  • Engaging bookish activities and crafts.

  • Nature walks on the beautiful local beaches or walking trails (self-led).

  • Happy hours to socialize and relax.

  • A specialty gift bag filled with bookish goodies.

  • Catered bookish activities, discussions, games, and more.

  • A dedicated host will lead the retreat and stay on-site throughout the event, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Dining - Savor delicious meals throughout the weekend:

  • Day One: Dinner after checking in.

  • Day Two & Three: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  • Day Four: Breakfast before check-out on the last day.
